A Radiodays Exclusive:

A WORLD PREMIERE.
IT’S OUR IN-CAR PROTOTYPE

Experience and shape the future of in-car radio

This year, we’re doing things differently. No just another panel, no theoretical talk about the future - we’re bringing it to life. For the first time, broadcasters can experience, test, and shape the next generation of Radioplayer In-Car radio live on our stand.

More Than a Concept:
A Prototype You Will Shape

Radio has always belonged in the car. But who decides how listeners access it? Right now, aggregators and non-radio companies positioning themselves as gatekeepers, controlling branding, discovery, and even access to radio content. Meanwhile, listener expectations are shifting. They want fast, seamless, smart radio experiences.

If broadcasters don’t take control now, someone else will. That’s why we’re not just talking about the future - we’re building it. Together.

A Prototype That Delivers What Radio Needs

This new in-car solution demonstrates three key innovations that will shape radio’s future:

Hybrid Radio – Seamlessly switches between FM, DAB+ and IP, so listeners always get the best possible signal without interruptions, and with high quality metadata, making sure your station is a nice looking user experience

Sync Across Devices – Start listening in the car, continue on mobile, and pick up where you left off in your home.

Access to Broadcaster Content – A major leap forward: broadcasters can now make more of their content accessible in the car, connecting listeners to extra shows, podcasts, and exclusive content through integration with their own apps and platforms.

"This is more than a concept – it's a working prototype that broadcasters can experience firsthand," says Yann Legarson, CEO of Radioplayer. "We’re proving that a broadcaster-led approach keeps radio strong, competitive, and easy to access in the connected car."

Reclaiming the Dashboard – Putting Radio Back in Control

After two days of live testing and collaboration on Radioplayer’s in-car prototype at Radiodays, we bring it all together in this must-attend session. James Cridland leads the conversation with Radioplayer CEO Yann Legarson, Asha Knight from the BBC, Stefan Möller from AER, and other European broadcasters, as they reflect on what we’ve built, what we’ve learned, and what comes next. Laurence Harrisons introduction will present key takeaways from our live workshop, showcase the evolution of our prototype, and set the course for the next steps in securing radio’s place in the car.

Expect an open, unfiltered discussion on radio’s fight for dashboard prominence, the risks of losing control, and how broadcasters can take charge of their future in the connected car.

See it. Shape it. Only with Radioplayer.
