Radioplayer launches breakthrough real-time car radio analytics

The new In-Car module in Radioplayer Insight gives broadcasters the industry’s only real-time view of car radio listening across DAB, FM and streaming.

(London, September 24, 2026) Radioplayer has launched a major upgrade to Radioplayer Insight, adding a dedicated In-Car module alongside its established analytics.

The new module gives broadcasters a faster, deeper and more complete understanding of how audiences use radio in cars. Data is processed within minutes, and the result is a real-time, actionable view of car radio listening at scale that captures listening across DAB, FM and streaming.

Radioplayer technology is already integrated across 19 car brands, which now have started to connect their primary radio experiences to the new In-Car analytics module, turning real car radio listening into actionable insight for broadcasters.

Yann Legarson, CEO, Radioplayer; “We build the technology that carmakers use to deliver their primary radio experience. Radioplayer Insight returns the value of that delivery directly back to radio stations, with data no individual broadcaster could generate alone. It is the industry’s fastest in-car radio analytics platform, and it is available to every Radioplayer member station and not reserved for those paying for any premium tier. The data is owned by broadcasters; our role is to help the industry make the most of it.”

The In-Car analytics module will sit alongside Out-of-Car analytics in the Radioplayer Insight Dashboard. It will be available to every broadcaster at no additional cost, together with tools for improving metadata quality and controlling how stations appear across connected cars and platforms.

Data is processed within minutes, showing broadcasters where, when and how long audiences listen, which stations they choose, whether the experience is delivered through DAB, FM or IP streaming. It also reveals which broadcast bearer that delivers the experience.

Eugenio La Teana, Head of Data Innovation & AI Strategy; “Measuring DAB, FM and IP listening together at this scale is a significant technical achievement. We turn complex data from connected cars into clear, usable intelligence in real time, including bearer information that connects broadcast listening to transmission infrastructure. This creates a level of visibility into in-car radio that simply wasn’t available before, and that is of great value to radio broadcasters.”
