Madrid, 19 June 2025 – Radioplayer today announced a new partnership with electric-vehicle innovator XPENG to develop the next-generation radio experience in its dashboards.
Starting this summer, XPENG models in Europe will feature Radioplayer’s hybrid-radio technology, combining the rock-solid reliability of broadcast with the rich visuals and content discovery of the internet. Drivers and passengers will enjoy broadcast listening, enhanced by strong visuals and on-demand discovery.
Yann Legarson, CEO, Radioplayer
“XPENG’s decision confirms that broadcaster-driven hybrid radio is now the benchmark for in-car listening. We’re delighted to welcome them to the Radioplayer family and can’t wait to see our technology live in their great EVs.”
With XPENG onboard, Radioplayer now counts 16 automotive brands as partners, reinforcing its position as the number-one radio solution in connected cars across Europe. The platform is already installed in more than four million vehicles, and that figure is expected to exceed five million this year.
Laurence Harrison, Chief Partnerships Officer, Radioplayer
“The XPENG team share our vision for radio that looks as good as it sounds. Together we’ll craft an experience that keeps radio front-and-centre in the dashboard while opening the door to new on-demand content and discovery features for XPENG drivers.”
The announcement coincides with Radioplayer’s latest hybrid-radio demo at WorldDAB Automotive 2025 in Madrid, where industry leaders are getting a first-hand look at the enhanced in-car experience delivered by Radioplayer and its broadcaster partners.
