BBC supports broadcaster automotive partnerships through Radioplayer
The BBC has given strong public support to Radioplayer’s Automotive work and said other broadcasters should join. At the European Broadcasting Union’s Digital Radio Summit in February the BBC said “Investing in Radioplayer is key in our aim to preserve radio in cars….we are actively encouraging our fellow broadcasters to talk to Radioplayer about how they can get involved”. The BBC also said that the Worldwide Radioplayer API (WRAPI) could “deliver the best API for radio, making it a unique one-stop-shop for car companies who want to offer their customers a great radio experience” and that car companies can benefit from Radioplayer’s free WRAPI, UI designs and technology.
